Halle Opera House

Halle Opera House is still located in the theatre at Halle an der Saale, which was opened in 1886.

The town theatre was the most modern technical opera house in Europe alongside the opera house in Budapest in its day.

Halle Opera House is the only theatre uniquely reserved for opera in the state of Saxony-Anhalt.

The equipment

Halle Opera House has owned modular system materials continually since 2001.

It now has an extensive basic stock of components, which are mainly used for stage sets. The theatre is able to present sophisticated and relevant stage sets in static terms by using the modular system materials, which are complemented by special structures adapted to the system. We have not only supplied the modular system, but also some special structures – e.g. a water tank for staging “Alcina” in 2012 and a special aluminium structure for the opera “Walküre”. We were able to perform the planning work and the static calculations for the funnel segment of the Hunchback of Notre Dame in 2013.
